Creation, Collaboration & Behind the Scenes

Every so often, a location becomes more than just a place to create.

It becomes a studio of ideas.

The Fox Culinary Studio, set within a beautiful wooden kitchen space in Parkview, became one of those locations. Warm textures, natural tones, and the inviting presence of a large wooden table created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and cinematic.

This setting became the stage for a special moment in my creative journey — a photoshoot collaboration with my photographer, Lux Lucet, alongside several behind-the-scenes creations captured during the process.

The Collaboration

Working with Lux Lucet brought a new dimension to this location.

While many of my collections focus on video storytelling, this shoot allowed for a deeper exploration of portrait photography and visual stillness.

Every detail had been carefully considered beforehand — wardrobe selections, the mood of the space, and how the kitchen environment could be transformed into a setting that felt both artistic and natural.

The result was a series of portraits that reflect the elegance and quiet confidence that defines the McKenzie Fox aesthetic.

Behind the Scenes

Alongside the photography session, several behind-the-scenes videos were captured throughout the day.

These moments reveal something viewers rarely see — the process behind the creation.

From adjusting lighting and framing to the quiet pauses between photographs, these videos offer a glimpse into how each scene comes together.

They allow collectors and viewers to step beyond the final image and experience the creative atmosphere of the shoot itself.

The Welcome Video

Within this location, I also recorded an important piece for my audience — my welcome video.

This video introduces viewers to the world I am building through my work: a space centered on curated storytelling, carefully selected locations, and visual experiences designed for those who appreciate a slower, more thoughtful style of creation.

The Fox Culinary Studio provided the perfect environment for this introduction — warm, inviting, and authentic.

Elf Kissed Noël

Among the creations filmed here was a seasonal piece titled Elf Kissed Noël.

This playful yet elegant moment embraces a softer, festive atmosphere while still remaining true to the refined tone of my work.

Filmed within the warm surroundings of the kitchen, the piece brings a subtle holiday charm to the archive, capturing a lighter side of the McKenzie Fox story.

A Studio of Creation

The Fox Culinary Studio stands as a unique chapter within my archive.

Unlike many of my other locations, which focus purely on cinematic video storytelling, this space represents a meeting point between photography, video, and creative collaboration.

It reminds me that every location offers its own kind of inspiration — sometimes quiet, sometimes grand, and sometimes shared with others who help bring the vision to life.

Within these warm wooden walls, creativity unfolded in many forms.

And each moment became part of the evolving McKenzie Fox archive.
